Getting the Wheeling Fever
Does anyone have experience with Yokohama Tires on their 4Runner? I'm considering the Yokohama Geolandar A/T-II's. I know that they're not as tough as the BFG AT KO's (based on the # of plies), but they look like they would perform well on a mostly street-driven 4Runner with an occasional off-road excursion.

Any thoughts or other recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks!

i had those on my old 1986 nissan 5speed 4x4...31's, they worked great...the tread wear was quiet good, i live up in the mountains, so tires wear-out quickly...they work great in the rain, pretty good on the dirt, and alright in the mud...they were great in shallow snow, not to aggresive in deeper snow though....so,i'd say overall they wernt half bad...if you have any more questions about them ,feel free to ask me! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

I have the AT +II on my Taco. Not enough time to judge wear yet. They do very well in rain, they've been very good in all of the snow we've received so far, and they ride quietly and smoothly onroad. I've only had them in some doinker dirt, nothing to speak of, and they were fine.

Many people complain that they don't hold their balance. When I scoured the TireRack reviews, it seemed mostly from owners of full-size trucks and some folks who'd punctured one.

Cost/performance has been very satisfactory so far. If they last 30k I'd be quite happy.
