I'm wondering if anyone out there has this tire, and what they think of it. I'd love to get a set of Revo's because of all the great reviews, but they're $125 vs $90 each on the yoko's.
I'm mostly on road with the occasional snow covered road and mild dirt trail. Being 2wd with the smaller 2.3L, I don't off road much. So I'm not too concerned with its hardcore off road capibilities. I mainly want to be sure I'm good on road and won't get stuck in the snow when I go up to the mountains. Wet and dry traction, snow traction, tread wear, and noise i guess are my main concerns.
The other tire I'm thinking about is the BFG A/T, but they're still $115 a piece.

I have those tires on my Trooper, during last weeks snow I was impressed by how they handeled, They are also nice on the street, not too loud and they are pretty good in the rain also, I would buy them for sure.

I've also heard good things about the pierelli Scorpion AT's from Sean (strawmeyer) https://www.tiresavings.com/tireSho...me=Scorpion+A%2FT&season=RegularYou can get 30x9.50 r15's for $83 a tire, or 30x10.50 r15 for $96 a tire. Just my .02 Nick

i don't know about the yokohamas, but love my revo's. I got them from firestone installed for about 350 bucks. I spoke with the store manager when i was getting quotes on tires, he gave me a high quote, but knocked off A LOT when I came back, and he told me he would. the revo's have been excellent in the heavy rain we've been having in so cal, the abs didn't even think of activating on some heavy braking in the rain (had to test it out), no hydroplaning. (my GF's mustangGT was planing like crazy at highway speeds in the rain ~55) lately pretty good in the snow (as well as a 2wd can do) with a little slip when the mtn. roads got icy, but then without studs all tires will slip in icy cond.

One thing in life I learned to accept a long time ago is that my name will never be spelled correctly....... even with written examples of it 10" away Honestly, I'd choose the REVO's over the Scorpion AT's (as I said before)..... and given the similarity in price, probably the Geolanders as well. Oh, and about that price thing........... no matter what other mods you do, your tires are still the only thing touching the road. And since you have to deal with whatever decision you make for the next 30-50K miles.... go ahead and drop the extra coin for something you will be happy with.

Darn, I honestly had it spelled correctly, then second guessed myself when i went to post and changed it. Sorry Sean, seems I have butchered your name, and wrongly quoted your advice....I'm just on a roll tonight Ok hyjack over Nick

I'm not mad. I have been getting an extra "e" tossed in my last name my entire life. It just cracks me up because, to me, it looks completely out of place there (being my name and all).... but apparently to 99% of the population, it makes perfect sense.

I have the Yokohamas and I really like them. Barely able to be heard, but then again I have a flowmaster muffler. I haven't had to balance them very often. Took them offroad in 2wd only and the traction was pretty good. Can't help you with the snow, don't see much of that down here.

the yokohama geolander A/T's are quite popular with the "dirt road" subaru crowd (as opposed to the pavement-only crowd)... in fact most folks seem to like them.
not aggressive enough for me personally but I think they're likely a quality tire for their intended purpose.
