Need a Spot
last week i purchased a 95 wrangler. the first time i drove it in the dark i noticed the dash lights dont work. i cant find a blown fuse in the fuse panel under the dash. the light for the heater settings dont work also. i am not very good when it comes to wiring. any ideas would be very helpful. i am not sure which fuse is in the circuit for these lights. thanks

Did you eyeball the fuses or check them with an ohm-meter or light?

I've had this problem off and on and its just a fuse that I keep blowing from wierd accessories. If it is not a fuse, then it is the orange wiring coming from the fuse panel, or the wire grounds. The fuse for the lights should be the lower left fuse, 5 amp.

Body Damage is Cool
Additionally, you could easily have blown bulbs. Some are a pain to change out, but others are fairly simple.... I have one bulb that's wires/socket gives me a hard time quite often for the Tach. I slap the dash and it comes on. If there is a lot of dirt, dust, or corrosion up in the terminals/sockets for them, you will experience problems with them working. These issues will create both ground and current issues. Good luck with an easy fuse swap, but check a little deeper to see if there is crud up in there as well.

About once every other year, I take all the removable panels off the dash and give them a good cleaning. Sometimes I go a little deeper and tear even more off. A lot of the fixes that I have done up under there have not been necessary, but have paid off in knoledge and not having to wait till something doesn't work. Even if you aren't good with wires, you can learn a lot from checking where wires go and what would not work if something was disconnected.

BigJim will most likely shake his cane at me for this posting, but really, some things you will never learn unless you take them apart and see what they do. Just don't get too carried away.
