I went wheelin today and noticed a clunk when I braked on the way home... I found out I lost the top caliper bolt(one of the two that hold the caliper on) and was wondering if anyone knows what size bolt they are. thanks in advance

I think mine is M12-1.25x40, might want to pull out the other one to make sure it is the same and also to see if the first holes has stripped. If so, you may either need to rethread it larger or use a helicoil or something similar.

Pick up some loctite while you're at the parts store. They're supposed to have it on there; just did the R&R on my ball joints. Little dab'll do ya.

umm this is for a 90 4runner with auto and v6... My question is, is it the same grade bolt? This is your brakes remember!

My question is, is it the same grade bolt? This is your brakes remember! well the crossmember bolt is a little bit shorter but it held my caliper alot better than no bolt at all! It bought me enough time to drive to work school and the bolt shop. picked up 2 (im carrying a spare now) they are grade 8.8 and those are a pretty hefty bolt I think they will hold. thanks for everyones help erick

The thick washer is crucial on that bolt. Without it the bolt will thread into the rotor and sound like a rock is in the dust shield. Ask me how I know
