don`t worry guys, i`m not gonna ask no newb question like "how long should i make my links" or "what size tubing do i use". i did my homework and i`m actually ready to start getting everything together for my rear 4-link set-up. question is...i`ve seen everything from heim joints on both ends to bushings on one end and heims on the other. they all seem to work just fine but haven`t heard good or bad so would like some input from you guys as to which way would be best before i start spending my cash. i`ve done my research for months now on about every bulletin board around(here and pirate mostly) but still have yet to determine which way to go. fabrication is not a problem.i have all of the tools and equipment. just need some of the more experienced guys to point me in the right direction.pros and cons would be helpful.

I would use Jonney Joints!!!!

I'll be using RE joints at one end, bushings at the other.

how do you guys feel about adjustability? I`ve checked out alot of link setups on pirate an seen every configuration there is and noticed that alot of the guys using johnny joints on both ends of their lower links have no way to adjust them. How important is it for the lowers.

I plan on using cam bolts. Just like IFS LCA's and stock Jeep TJ/Dodge truck links use.

Depends on what you're willing or unwilling to move to get things to fit.

In the front though, if its a street driven rig, I'd run a panhard and match it to the drag link length/angle as closely as possible to minimize bumpsteer.

that`s exactly why i`m kinda taking my sweet time and getting all of the info i can before i build. i probably won`t start until next month or so. but if i can get my hands on a trailer...i`ll be more that willing to chop it up and experiment with the front also <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. thanks again for your input.

Heims will give more articulation but will be noisey as they loosen up. Kevlar lined will help. Poly ends bind more but dont clunk and wont transmit as mush vibration. I agree with the JohnyJoints by Currie suggestion.
