My dad just got a 2002 Jeep wrangler X and it still has 5 months left on the factory warranty... I was wondering what kind of a lift kit and tires he should put on it when its out of warranty?... mind you he is an old man (45) so about 2-4 inches on the lift kit will suffice...

831 I wish to educate you some on AGE! At 45 you will finally be almost smart enough to VOTE! 45 is NOT old. At 45 there still is no limber in your member! Go apologize to that man...

some things to consider, if 45 is old you might need to lower it so he can get in!!!!! all jokes aside, what kind of driving will you be doing? is it for show, or strictly off road, never off road, competition, weekend toy? my 95 wrangler has a 3 inch lift with 31/10-50 dunlop tires. it sees rough mountain roads every day as i drive to work. the lift and tires suit me just fine. i just have to clean off the windshield every time it rains from where the tires sling mud. but what works for me might not work for you. i just wish i could be 45 again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

78 F-250 4x4 that I bought new, 76 CJ5 I should never have sold. 00 F-250 4x4, 95 Wrangler, Caterpillar 777C off road mining truck that I drive for a living.

Hey Turkey! Dad Here
Watch it with the "OLD" cracks!
Just to set it straight I paid 12K for those stock tires and rims! The rest of the Jeep was "Free"
Just as soon as they get worn out it gets the lift and tires.

And to all of you gentlemen who came to my aid...........
THANK YOU!

What exactly do you mean by air shcoks? air filled shocks? Shocks that will increase ride hight? What is the purpose of the shocks?

What I mean for these shocks to do is to improve the performance of stiffness for offroad and softness for onroad. Any Suggestions?
