Does anyone run a plow on either the T100 or Tundra and what brand and size plows are you running? I currently run a 6 1/2' Fisher plow on my '90 pickup and am interested in finding out if I can still plow if I go to a T100 or Tundra.

The brutal winters in California sometimes dip into the low......60's. It is occasionally cold enough that you cannot even wear your.......shorts.
Snow, what snow?

I'll take a little snow any day over your earthquakes, mud slides, forest fires and heat!

But shucks, I love being outdoors, man.. can't go outside when there's 26" of snow holding the door shut. Can't have the best of both worlds I guess unless you're a snowbird...good luck with the plow. Albany gets plenty of snow.. I got stuck up there 10 years ago applying for a forestry job.. never got it, thank God! (Nothing against you!, I just hate winter.) Here's a good pic : the day of the 2005 blizzard, I HAD to go to work (figure that, huh?). I needed a plow that day. ![[Linked Image]](http://img84.exs.cx/img84/7675/truck_snow.th.jpg)

The front end of the t and the comparitively week engine (compared to F250 and chev 2500)just don't lend itself well to be a plow truck. A 7.5ft medium duty Fisher MM plow weighs approx 700lbs. Although there are some lighter composite plows out there now for personal use that might work. I have seen those on some pretty small vehicles. It all depends what you need to plow. I myself love my t way to much to toss a plow on it. Thats what Chevys are for. Sorry, but I cannot speak about the application on Tundras, although the engine is plenty strong. What's up Albany? Nice to hear from someone in the area.

It does the job well but its getting old, rusty, needs a t-chain and clutch soon. I hate the 95 to present Tacos and all the pre 95 trucks are getting rusty unless you go south to locate a clean one. Im just exploring the possibility of going to a T100 or Tundra if I can still plow with them. Ive seen full size steel plows on T100s but not Tundras. I would never consider a unreliable domestic truck, BUT the Jeep Gladiator (dont shoot me! ) concept is very tempting... Gladiator . Other than that, alls well in SmAlbany.

Fwiw, I think the T's frame (boxed vs. c-channel) & suspension (torsion bar vs. coil) would be better suited for plowing than the Tundra.
