ok, maybe it's jut me but search setup doesn't seem to work like it used to. that's one request. the biggie tho' is my rodeo has chosen the crappiest time of the year to NOT want to go into 4x4, lo or hi. I checked the vaccuum lines; no apparent probs. the relay is working as far as i can tell and the shifter causes little clicking sounds in the relay and in the switch on the axle tube. but no 4x4. i read randy's piece on locking out the shifter: can i do this while it's still on the car and will it lock the fronts in until i can figure out the problem? TIA

hey, thanks guys! i'm getting the hang of it now. i got the shift fork out and checked it with a vacuum line and it works ok. trouble is i'm getting vacuum from the solenoids that pulls it OUT of 4x4 when i've got it IN 4x4. so i'm locking it with a bolt until i figure out how much the $olenoid$ are going to run me. i'm also trying switching the vacuum lines around for the moment. will advise further. stay tuned

turns out it was the vsv's. they're only $167 for the set. the part came today but before i can put it in, more probs; the heater keeps blowing fuses. i think it's the resistor, which doesn't work on third setting for the fan. the saga continues....
