I'm planning on puting a 3" suspension lift on my tacoma. The lift I'm looking at does not come with shocks. So far I have not been able to find any shocks to fit with the 3" lift. Any ideas where to get them? Or will the shocks for the 4" lift work?

The Bilstien 5100's are what I've seen recommended...go to www.wheelersoffroad.com and go under deaver leaf spring pack. I'm not sure if the 4" kit shocks will work though. Good luck

I put BDS shocks on the rear of my truck when i lifted it 3". I broke one and had not even taken it off the pavement. They do have a lifetime replacement so the was good. I have not had a problem since. Good or bad info but info to know.

all you need to do is measure between the two shock mount bolts and a good 4wd shop can set you up with the correct size

If it is a 4x4 shop they will know what will fit anyhow without measuring.

I purchased my 3" lift from [url=http://www.allprooffroad.com]. They provide a braided steel brake line for the rear as well as Bilstein 5125's. The fron coilovers as Bilstien as well with a Eibach springs. Don't forget the braided steel lines for the front too.

If it is a 4x4 shop they will know what will fit anyhow without measuring. If it is a GOOD 4x4 shop they will know they must measure for optimal performance - at full flex, and again at full compression.

Oh, I'm not saying they won't sell you a shock without measuring, but there are many subtle variations. Lift it 3", with whose springs? Which bumpstops? How much weight? What other mods that might affect it? It only takes a little more effort to go from one-size-fits-most to 'just perfect for the application'.
Good shops probably have a ramp to max your flex. Then measure. Cross-reference it in the book, done.

u r doin 3 inches up front and 3 inches in the rear? what rear lift are you doing? if shackles, its only 1.5" average and if AAL, most do 2.5" at most... if either is the case, you should be ok with the 8" and 8.5" travel 5100s... im runnin a Deaver 8 leaf pack with the 8.5" travel 5100s...
