Getting the Wheeling Fever
Put 285/75/16 on my 03 taco and I'm rubbing the frame. The rims are 16 x 8 with 3.75" BS - I would have thought that would have cleared - I was wrong!
Anyhow I need to figure out what to run, Discount is willing to do whatever I want to fix it but I need to decide tonight.
If I need a rim with more BS - suggestion?
I thought I would swap them out with 255/85/16 but I would have to go to BFG MT's - not sure how thrilled I am about that.
Oh I have a 2" body lift
How about the steering- is there an adjustable stop?

Thanks!!

Could you try to install like 1-2" spacer up front under the coils? The backs dont rub do they? Just the front?

with 33s, you would need a minimum of 3" suspension lift to minimize the rubbing on the frame, and your current body lift should eliminate the rub on the body... changing backspacing will do nothing for you with your current setup of just a body lift as the frame still hits the tires...

thanks for the help all - turns out the BS must be right it wasn't hitting there. It was rubbing on the backside of the front fender. I just didn't do enough triming and hammering.
All's good now - no rubbing.

Thanks,
TBob
