That truck is gonna be sick. Moggie axles, 500:1 low range, central tire inflation and airbags. I think he needs to read up on the 3.slo to 3.4 swap though. If he's dropping that kinda coin on those awesome axles, wheels, etc. he can drop a couple K on the motor. I can't wait till he finishes, gets sick of it, and sells it for 20% of what he has in it.

Yeah, he definately needs to cough up the dough for the 3.4L swap. Obviously he makes enough to afford it. I think he said in the thread somewhere that a motor swap would be a year or two down the line. I don't even want to think about the cost of his mog axles(s) swap. I guess 10K, since he's buying his installer/builder/friend a set of mog steering axles as payment!!

He said he was considering a motor swap come winter, but he didn't elaborate as to what motor... Could be interesting.

Can't wait to see what that thing looks like with the tires on...

Glad you like the build. Still not sure what motor to put in it. Should be on its tires in a week or so.

Based on what you wrote on the other board, it sounds like we have similar tastes. However, and please don't take this the wrong way, but we (CO) don't have any trails that would remotely fit your criteria above that necessitates your project. Surely, you have a number of other trails you're planning to tackle, huh? Or, is this just more of a "fun" project? Just curious.

They've done that for years. I think you've been gone awhile!

Yeah, admittedly, it is an overkill build that will take the challenge out of some of my favorite trails. But on the upside, it should be extremely comfortable and virtually unbreakable. And it is something I have been wanting to do for a long time as I have been facinated with portals for almost two decades.
I do know of a few trails that may even still offer up a challenge.

Not to mention snow wheeling should be much more interesting now. Uncompahgre Plateau, Grand Mesa and Alpine Plateau all have great snow wheeling. I have never made it very far on my 32's.

Too much gear reduction for a Cummins. I would have plenty of power but a top speed of something on the order of 40 mph.
