Don't ask me how I did it....because I dont even know. Was stopping by a friends house on the way home from work, driving the 4Runner of course. Came up to his road and started turning the corner (a corner Ive taken thousands of times) looked away for 1/2 a second and hit a frickin telephone pole while doing maybe 15 mph. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />

Engine stalled of course but fired right up, I reversed and limped down to the driveway so I could assess the damage. Brand new chrome bumper and both ends are beyond repair. Hood took it hard, drivers headlight door broke from the grill...grill beat to hell. Radiator core support caved slightly...enough to push the shroud into the PS pump pulley but not enough to push the radiator into the fan.
Drove it home after putting the end caps and valence in the back and faced the music with the wife. Wasnt so bad. Took 20 minutes to pull damaged parts off and start pulling the core support. Now gotta get me a hood, grill, bumper with caps and some small stuff. Easily $500! ouch.

Pay attention to wear you are driving folks! Luckily Jerry lives on one of those roads less traveled. If anyone has a source for parts mentioned at kickazz prices (without the hidden $100 shipping per piece) let me know please.

Glad to hear it wasn't a high speed impact. Check craigslist.com, there is an '86 truck being parted out, it is in Renton Highlands http://seattle.craigslist.org/car/60566460.html , I am not sure how close it is to you.

Ouchie Darin, ya ain't supposed to do that after all the hard work you put into these things.
When you go to NAPA, ask for the button book if ya need it.

Wow, I expected alot more teasing and stuff from you guys....thanks for making me feel like less of a dumbass this morning! Real Pals!!! LOL

As for replacing the parts, I appreciate all the offers and links. The certi-fit place doesnt have listings for my 87' 4runner (please call- go figure). That seller on EBAY "Magnumeast" is who I bought my original bumper and ends from last year. Nice guy to deal with. I'll get back to y'all with updates/offers on the parts later on today after some more thought.
