Getting the Wheeling Fever
I just bought some 31x10.50x15's and want to put them on my new amigo. I cranked up the torsion bars and the front still hit alittle in sharpe turns. I did'nt realize that the rear was coil springs untill after i bought the tires. So any suggestions? I have been looking for a body kit on the web and have only found them for 89-94 Amigos.

85 2.3 Woods Trooper (bye bye 1.9)
89 2.6 RS (really short)x2
94 Amigo
86 Troopers x2
Its really an addiction

A suspension lift might be the way to go.
Just swap out the coil springs and crank up the front.
Do a search for details.

Check out the lifts on:

www.independent4x.com

They have some good customer service, and their parts are good quality.

Body Damage is Cool
I did one using the 1st gen body lift kit. You'll end up with 2 extra pucks left over.

when looking for a container to hold drained brake fluid, find a container that is different from the beverage you are currently consuming.

You definitly need to trim your fenders...it's not noticable after it's done.......click here for black-ops fender trim fender trim

My .02 -
I would lift the suspension first and then if you really want it do the B/L........with a suspension lift,it will make a big difference in the handling of your amigo. And it will give you more ground clearance under the truck....unlike a B/L witch will only raise the body and then give you more stuff to cover-up and cut-off so it looks better......

It's a REALLY old writeup, but I figured out how to do a BL on a 2Gen back in '00. Check out my writeup here.
