On that note, how difficult would it be to lose my lame Auto Transmission in exchange for a maual transmission???

They are rare, but they are out there. I went to http://www.autotrader.com and did a search. I came up with 8 T100s with possible manual trannys, x-cab, 3.4L, and 2WD. I searched using any distance so it covers the entire US. There is a blue 1997 for $12,999 in CA that claims to have leather seats. Sounds like a nice one.
