Bone stock '85 4wd daily driver (90 miles round trip) on 30x9.50s - cross over is not going to happen. Steering linkage is sloppy and it appears to be the draglink ball studs. I've cranked down on the adjuster caps but I can still feel slop in the joints. Can I get the blocks and springs from the dealer or is there a better solution? Maybe an adjustable straight/no-lift version?
Truck needs new springs/shocks/bushings - thinking along the lines of OME so maybe a dropped drag link is in order.

You should be able to get the whole setup for free or next to nothing from someone who has put on highsteer. Just post in the wanted section on here and Pirate.

You can get a kit to rebuild it from the dealer. NAPA may also have them.

I realize this thread is 1 1/2 years old but my dealer says no to a rebuild kit. Wants me to buy the whole thing <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> and that aint gonna happen
So does anyone know the part # for the 85 drag link rebuild kit???
thanks

At one time our favorite vendor (NWOR) used to carry a rebuild kit.
You might first try tearing the ends apart and clean/grease everything well and see if they work any better. Often grease/dirt can fill up the adjuster threads and not let them tighten any farther. You can also try shimming the socket ends to tighten them up a bit.

Thanks 4 crawler . Good idea there om the shimming - for a short term fix.
Will tear it apart and see just how bad it is , I cleaned it once and keep it adjusted as per the FSM but my adjustment is getting down to nothing so I know its time for some new cups.

Guys , appreciate the offers mucho . In the next week or two , -its one of those free time things , if I haven't found the parts I'm looking for I'll Bug you for one of the links .
Found the part # for the dust seals , but I'm still looking for the stud cups #'s or whatever the heck their called.
Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I doubt if I'm the only one who has ever run up against a parts counter where I have to supply the part # to get what I need.
