Getting the Wheeling Fever
I have a 94 Xtra-Cab 4x4 pickup I would like to install new Control Arm bushing is this a tough job? or can I do myself? What shop time labor on this job? Any suggestions would be welcome. Also anybody try Corbeau sport seats?

i did them over when i did my liftreall easy to do but u may need an alignment after. best bet is the mark the ecentric cam bolts so you can get it close. i used a ball joint press to press the old bushings out. energy suspension makes them in polyurethane but u have to reuse the metal parts

I used a huge vice with a 3 foot cheater pipe and a BFH to press mine out. The new ones go in a lot easier than the old ones come out. Putting the control arms back on the truck by yourself is a little tricky. I finally figured out that a floor jack and a 2x4 works pretty good. I used OEM bushings.

IIRC, Arbitary Notion just burned his old ones out and popped in his new ones.

<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> If the cam bolts come out of the sleeves easily,it's a piece of cake!If their rusted in,it's a P.I.T.A !!!! Good luck! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Here's a pic of the pipe fittings I modified to press the bushings out. http://community.webshots.com/photo/185194728/185195196gFQQuE
