I finally got my truck fixed. It has been broke down for the past 3 months needing a new clutch slave cyl. So now I was able to install my Christmas present to myself. New extended brake lines for the rear! These things are NICE. Actually, I had the garage install them while they put a new inspection sticker on it. The mechanic saw the new lines and was real impressed with the quality.
I did'nt do the front yet because of my plans to SAS in the near future. But will be installing the same lines up front at that time. My stock brake lines were getting dry rotted and needed to be just a little longer. I'm running 2" springs in the rear.
As far as I can tell. The brake pedal only feels about half as spongy as they did. I'm sure that after the front in installed, that the spongy feeling will completely be gone. Here are a few pics of the rear.

Cool. I'm close to doing a full brake job on my piece, and with the stockers at almost 18 years old, I'm thinking about giving these lines a shot.

BTW something wierd about the pics, I had to cut and paste the html from each one and come back to the thread to see them

That is because he is hosting them via Webshots. They don't allow external linking of pics.

I installed these very lines on my 2001 Rodeo last week. They are great!

I see them at home (zero firewall) not at work (corporate firewall)

Dan's engine change pics I see at both locations.

Thanks guys. It is weird. Sometimes they come up for me. Sometimes they don't. I thought since I am a premium member at webshots that it is alright to link them. I will have to check into that.

So these replace just the rubber lines or the hard lines on the rear axle as well?

when looking for a container to hold drained brake fluid, find a container that is different from the beverage you are currently consuming.

They replace the rubber lines at all four wheels plus the rubber line that is in the middle at the rear of the vehicle.
