Anyone ever done this mod on their Toyota? Seems the highest gears I can get for these pumpkins are 4.56.

not worth it. 8" toyota rear axle is definitely stronger than a 10 bolt rear, and the toy front is stronger if you get a set of longfields.

Maybe not a huge strength increase, but definitely not weaker than an 8 inch. The 10 bolts live fairly useful lives behind almost three times the horsepower, and almost twice the vehicle weight that a toyota 8 inch has to. And the cool part is the width.

the rear axle is pure junk. yeah, maybe it'll hold up well in a car with smaller tires, but so does an 8"(1000hp supras).

and then you have the c-clips...
