run a synthetic like Mobil 1 or Redline, or Amsoil or royal purple and you won't need a cooler. not worth it IMHO. my 3.0 supposedly has a small stock liquid cooled oil cooler on the side of the block. If I was going to run a oil cooler, it would be for an Auto trans.

I have an 87 with an auuto tranny and the oil cooler is right in front of the radiator and behind the grill. Not really sure on the benefits though.

Oil Cooler on a Toyota is a waste of money! The design of Toyota trucks are well thought out and run the oil at a good temp.

OK, it's almost a certainty that you're Thief. Unless there's really two Jaguar technicians from California using the same avitar. Creating a new ID is completely up to you (though if it was to be a secret, it was sloppy). But why'd you go and erase all your past messages?

The oil cooler on the 3.0 V-6 is actually a very efficient cooler!

I run a cooler on my truck but it is for the power steering. It does not take up as much room as the AC condenser so I am not worried about an overheating problem. I got the cooler from Pick-N-Pull for ten dollars. It is out of a late 80Æs Ford Aerostar and is mounted behind the front bumper.

When I first bought my Dodge Ram, I was surprised and what is stacked in front of the radiator. It has the AC condenser, Transmission Cooler, Oil cooler, and the inter cooler for the turbo.

Good eye Fox. If that is you, we miss your old posts Thief. I was searching last week and there was a big hole in the topic where your posts were missing. Hope it is you, welcome back, if it is. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
