I need to know the location of the fuel filter on a 95 XJ. I am thinking that it is in the tank, however, There is one inline just forward of the tank.
Just wanting to make sure that if I am real lucky, all I will have to do is replace the inline unit.
Thanks for your help

Mine is just forward of the tank and although the pump in the tank has a strainer it doesn't have an actual filter. if its like mine its a snap to change. Just pull the relay for the fuel pump, turn her over a few times, and your good to go. Your lucky day. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I forgot one verry important step. Got the relay pulled, ran it till it died, all is OK. Crawl under the jeep and loosen the filter, gas shoots all over the place. I forgot to vent the fuel tank!!!
Thanks again for the help
