so on my 1980 i have never had a problem starting it and the battery always had some juice. will i was driving down to the store and when i hit the blinker the stero died untill the blinker went off. I thought how wierd maybe wiring or something. then when i came out to start it to leave NOTHING! no jucie. it would crank but nothing. so i get a jump start and head on home.. on the way the truck starts to sputter like it is not getting any fuel( i have an electric fuel pump) but it makes it home just in time before she dies. SO i think altinater has to be bad and not charging anything. so i replace it and it still does the same thing. So i am going to test the battery and make sure that is not it... but i don't think it is... anyone out there have some ideas to throw at me??? any help would be great RED

I would check all the ground connections in the cab and the engine bay/frame. Don't just look at them, take each one apart, inspect and clean/wirebrush each terminal and put it back together and see if that helps. Try putting a voltmeter on the system when it is charging and see if you are getting 13.8 volts or so. And if it acts up again, re-check the voltages and see if there is any difference.
