So should I replace it or just go with a 1 piece shaft? Should I go with an OEM bearing or is there something better out there? I remember somebody posting something about bending 3 of his 1 piece shafts and he went back to the 2 piece anyway.

I just replaced one a few months back. The best price I found was at JT Outfitters. I don't have any experience with the one piece fix. The previous owner had taken the old housing, looped rubber fuel line around the inside a few times, put a bearing in the center and encased the entire thing in silicone. When I went to install the new one, I noticed that I had a bad U joint. upon removal, I also noticed that the makeshift center bearing seemed to perform the same as the new one....so it may have actually been working and the u joint been the problem, lol. Sorry I can't offer anymore insight, but if you're broke and have some silicone and fuel tubing around...... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
