Need a Spot
I am swapping in 63" chevys and I had a friend make the spring hangers for me. He layed the pattern out flat and then cut and bent the hangers. The problem is I need a 3" inside dimension and he bent them as narrow as he could and they are 3.5" inside. Should I go buy new hangers or will I still be okay if i buy long enough bolts and use some washers or other material to take up the extra .5" of space? Will there be too much play for it to work properly? Thanks.

Make the hangers out of 1/4" thick 3.5" box tubing. That will give you the correct 3" inside dimension and the hanger will be beefy
