Getting the Wheeling Fever
I'm in the middle of swapping 4runner bodies on my 85 4runner. Teh reason for the swap is I have tons of rust on the old body. I have everything unbolted from both bodies. Curious as to what is the best method of taking the old body off and placing the new one on. I know there always the possibility of getting 6 to 8 people to help carry it, but I think there has to be an easier way. I thought about renting a forklift, but it was pretty expensive.

Thanks in advance for the tips.

Wilson

Body Damage is Cool
i dont think the arms would be long enough on the forklift. if you have axcess to a crane and some tow straps maybe haha.

Roll Me Over
way we pulled a body off an old impala was some straps and an old tree. we used a big pulley up on the tree and then used a large come-a-long to pull the strap from the other side of the tree. make sure you winch point for the comealong is a VERY secure point... like another 100yr old oak tree. then just wheel the fame out from under the body with another strap or chain and a 4wheeler. and becareful. dont ever go under the body when it's suspended.
