Fair Price? #602262 05/11/05 02:19 PM

Would $2500.00 be a fair price for my 1991 Trooper? It has everything in my signature, plus I have the Holley TBI (used) and rebuild kit and a brand new radiator. The engine burns some oil, but runs strong.

I have a couple of new obligations that prevent me from completing the 3.4 swap that I wanted to do <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />. And a friend has been asking me about selling the Trooper to him.

Well, here is my opinion: Honestly that price seems to be at the high end of the range for a 91, unless in very good condition OR you find a buyer who appreciates and values the mods you have done (not an easy thing). If you watch eBay, heavily modified trucks have a much more limited buyer market, and rarely does the seller recoup the money spent on mods. But if your buyer likes what you have done and agrees to the price, it's not like you are robbing him at all.

Others may disagree, and are welcome to!

I'm with BigSwede. You'll have to find the perfect buyer to get that much for it. OTOH, you'll never get more than you ask, so start high. If you ask $2500 and someone offers $2200, take it.
