Hey guys. First post here. New to the forum but not to wheeling. Not having the funds for a tow rig and the playtoys as well as a current car payment I've had thoughts of slowly building another rig or just stripping the current trail toy out and building something new. One of my thoughts no thanks to Joe Darlington ( love ya Joe mean it) is an amigo Either way here are some pics of the current arsenal first the trail toy followed by the mall cruisin daily driver

You own a jeep.
You're already on the darkside.

Seriously though, welcome aboard. I haven't met a person yet who doesn't like their Amigo... or Rodeo, or Trooper, or Pup.

By the way, driver's side pumpkin on the Toy? I was under the impression that Toys all had passy side drops. What drivetrain are you running?

I had 2 pups at one time. One was an oldy 87 or so 4 banger w/ a 4spd the other was a 91 I think w/ a 5 spd and 4 banger.

Toys became pass drop in 95.5. Basically take everything that is located in the truck and flop it upside down moving it to the other side. Drivetrain is a slightly hopped stock 2.7 5 spd mated to an 87 top shift toy case.

Body Damage is Cool
You looking at a 1st or second gen Amigo? Personally I love my 90 1st gen, even with the problems that come with age, but I would love to upgrade to a 2nd gen just for the ride quality and the v6.

As a fellow Jeep owner, you will notice a very sharp decline in respect given to you by other motorists just due to the fact that its an Isuzu, and not very mainstream, but you can silence any critic with a well built Isuzu, not to mention the cool-factor of having a more uncommon rig!

Good Luck

Welcome to the board. We have family in Wilmington so travel there quite a bit.

Hope to see you on the sand at FF or CB sometime

Ya, x2 on the 1st gen Amigo. Check http://www.autotrader.com or http://www.cars.com and you can find a few for cheap for buildup and with the locker prospects Matt at Indy4x is working on, it will breathe much needed new life into those older 10-12 bolt rigs

Cheers,
