I have a '98 Tacoma TRD, and curious what all was included with the TRD package. Any differences between my '98 and what is included in the package with a later model? Thanks

Pretty much its Bilstein shocks and that rear locker you've got, not to mention those cool TRD stickers that add up to 10 horsepower each <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> I dont think they have changed anything since 98 except I think the doublecabs come with Tokico shocks instead of the Bilsteins but I'm not sure on that one. Maybe someone will chime in and pick up anything I've forgotten. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I believe it also includes a larger windshield washer tank, softer suspension springs and stiffer sway bars and possibly a gague package (or was that part of the SR5 package?). Also different brake pads. Anything else?

Isnt there something with the leaf springs too?? I think I've heard you get different leafs in the back, ones that are softer and give you more flex...but I heard that awhile ago so I dont really remember and it might be BS anyway.

I believe the rear leafs are softer (less payload). And the front coils are 'progressive', to soak up more of the little bumps offroad.

I have the '03 offroad package, TRD/SR-5, it was quite a change from my '89! The susp. is softer, if I hit a good size Pothole I'm thrown!My A** whips around, on a good note it is much more comfortable than my '89 except the seats just suck! Rear locker, progressive springs...!
