Ok heres the deal I got stuck at our lake and I mean really stuck ! after 2 trucks and an international scout tried to pull me out w/ no luck, ,we finaly got her out w/ a wrecker .So on the way home I noticed that my brakes were way to to easy to push, not good, and you could hear a little hissing noise. And now I have no parking brake at all so what should I look for or should i just take them to a shop.Any advice would be helpful

A little info about the truck would help...

I would first make sure everything is cleaned out **REALLY*** well. Pull the back drums and clean it out with water first then some brake cleaner.

I would also check all your brake lines. While it's never happened to me, I would think the force of being pulled out could have bent/cracked one of your hoses or metal lines, and you have a small leak. Check first around the wheels, and trace the lines up.

Have a buddy step on the brakes while you crawl around and see if you can find the source of your "hiss". Prolly find a small leak there.

good luck

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did.

Body Damage is Cool
A "hiss" would indicate a vacum leak in the booster or it's vac line, but that would make the pedal hard, not soft.

Fluid leaks don't usually make noise, and the resevoir will be low, and there'll be a puddle.
