That's why we are here, aren't we?

Glad you made it home man!!

More guts than me to bring a "unknown vehicle" from halfway across the country...LOL.

Hopefully you will get everything ironed out before August!

WooHoo! Good news, new plugs and plug wires fixed the engine miss.

There was a nice carbon track up the side of the #4 cylinder plug wire "tube". The plugs were old but intact, so I think the wires were the culprit. They looked original...a dozen years is plenty out of the stock wires.

Whew, she seems to be in good shape, so now I can concentrate on fixing her up, rather than repairs.

Thats VGN. What kind of plans do you have for her? Theres one near me thats been parked for as long as I've lived here going on 10 years, was going to mention it to you when you were looking but doubted it'd even be worth the time.

Congrats again!

Nick

But since you asked, I need to get familiar with used car warranty laws in Massachusetts - are you familiar with such? Do I have any rights in this case, or is it strictly as-is/no warranty?

I'vd been reading about vehicle laws for 4 hours now because I got a ticket for $450 today for having an expired inspection and tires that stick out beyond the fenders.
Anyway, I saw some stuff re: the lemon aid law:
check out mass.gov/rmv and look at the drivers maunal. there is some very vague and basic info there but they list the contact #'s for Consumer Affairs in Boston.

Glad to hear that you're back and running on all 6

when looking for a container to hold drained brake fluid, find a container that is different from the beverage you are currently consuming.
