My Isuzu shop manual should be in next week. I'm very interested in knowing exactly what is required to "reprogram" this system.
I've seen low tire sensor systems at JC Whitney. It can't be all that different.
Still, I find it disturbing that someone could have the rig in the shop 10 times for a farily simple system.
Right now, I'm thinking that I'll just bypass the sensor, if it gets too bad. I don't need a light to tell me my tire's flat, if I check it often enough.
"Stubig" - '72 416.141 (U1100) Unimog "Sassy" - '05 KLR650 "Brody" - '04 Rodeo (It's my wife's, really) "Candy" - '02 TDI New Beetle (yes, a family of 4 fits inside) "Twinkie" - '72 Revcon 250 (converting from Olds 455 to 6.5L Diesel)

The cheapest ones are screw ones! Warning: All these systems are not very accurate. When it's on, it means "FILL NOW!" and not "you're 2 psi low."
Or so I've read.

As for the rattle, check the tire tools under the seat(if they come loose they can make noise. Also check the jack and make sure the wire clamp is tight and the jack bottom is flat in the tray.

My 2003 Rodeo has/had a rattle in that same area. I diagnosed it as coming from one or both latches in the split rear seat. I wrapped duct tape around one of the latch bars to see if that fixed the problem and it seemed to quiet it down a bit. Haven't tried the other latch yet but tell your friend to wiggle the rear seat backs against their latches to see if they are loose or rattly.
