What to watch out for on a 2001 4Runner #616422 06/20/05 01:55 AM

I recently purchased a used 2001 4RUNNER with 70K on it. Some questions for the experts:

-Dealer tells me that timing belt was changed at 60K. Is that the normal service interval?

-What other items other than the regular stuff: engine, tranny to watch out for?

- Vehicle history is clean. No visible signs of collision damage etc.

Thanks

Timing belts are suggested every 90,000, so looks like you're a step ahead already.

Nothing out of the ordinary to watch out for. The only outstanding issue on the 2001's is the recent recall Toyota put out, which may, or may not, affect yours.

Sounds like you're good to go. Congrats!
