My 94 Runner was broken into last night.. They took my tools... My Insurance is $250/Mo for a LUX. SUV.. Safeco Insurance as well as other carriers NO LONGER COVER ITEMS NOT ATTACHED TO THE CAR... Tools, Cell Phones, CDs and None stock Stereos. If you donÆt have Home Owners Insurance you are not covered.... Safeco informs me that My Renters insurance also does not cover my Carà Only Home Owners.. So because I donÆt own a home, I get the shaft? What kind of world is this? I am posting this to let you all know to check with your agents to see if you have the right coverage.

And to top off the cake... When I was taking to my agent, I asked him what was covered. He says "Well do you know your deductible?" I said umm your my agent.. He said he didnÆt have time to look it up. And I would need to call him back later... Something has got to change. These insurance companies need to start paying up. Stop punishing the Victim...

I have a few friends that have had less than good experiences with Safeco. I have pemco for my auto and homeowners. My vehicle was broken into and a camera stolen. I was given the choice if I wanted the claim on my homeowners or my auto because it was covered under both. If you have a stereo that is worth more than a factory radio than you will need a writer for it. This also goes for lift kits, bumpers, or anything else added to the vehicle.

btw $250 a month!!! That is more than I pay for me, my wife, and my homeowners!
