Having been gone from the board for the past 6 months I've had a bit of reading to catch up on. In doing so, I've noticed a trend - New folks having to ask 'What are the good modification options for the T-100 or Tundra?', instead of having an initial reference to start from.
I think it'd be a good idea to have a simple text list from the folks here on the board as to what they've done (successes or failures) stickied at the top, rather than having to look at everyone's signature line to discern what they've done to their rigs... Whaddaya guys think?

Oh yeah, I suppose it'd be helpful to start...
1997 T-100 SR5 Auto
3" Body Lift - Performance Products Install was easy enough, save for the transfer case shifter; Took several cut/extend/reweld attempts to get it right. Once the shifter & linkage were ok, then the factory boot began binding - Replaced with a boot for a '67 Camaro. Works just fine.
1.5" Ball Joint Spacers - SDORI Couldn't be happier - No issues whatsoever. Just make sure to use Loc-Tite.
26mm Downey (NHK) torsion bars NHK is the Toyota OEM. Couldn't be happier - Forged, not machined like SAW - better memory, stronger splines, etc... Annodized, so no paint peeling / rust issues like SAW.
Downey AAL No issues. Lifts the rear about 2". Not too stiff either (although I did lower the rear tire pressure a smidge to compensate).
Bilstein shocks A shock should push back. 'Nuff said.
Warn manual hubs No issues whatsoever.
K&N conical intake / Downey open air element adapter plate Don't waste your money... $170 bucks for a $50 filter & a machined aluminum plate. If you really want an open air element, make a bracket yourself for $5 at Home Depot.
Borla exhaust Couldn't be happier - No issues whatsoever. Noticeable improvement over both stock and the Jardine it replaced. A bit spendy though...
Deep cycle Optima battery (blue top) No issues... I went for the blue top (marine) simply because it has an extra set of posts & I have a bunch of electronics. Identical to the yellow top.
NWOR 160amp alternator No issues whatsoever. I didn't do enough research before buying - you can find it a lot cheaper & not have to deal with NWOR's crappy service. Works great though...
In car electronics I'm currently running about 1400w RMS with only a single 1 farad capacitor - No dimming at all. The above mentioned alternator can hold a consistent 14.4v. I chose to install the amps (2) behind the rear seatback - Moved the top out by 1.5", bottom out by 3". As a side effect, the rear is far more comfortable to sit in now. As for subs, I cut out the passenger side compartment under rear the seat & fiberglassed in (2) 8" Kicker Solo-Baric DVC.
Extended diff breathers Home made, via Home Depot.
35" Goodyear MTR's Love 'em...
15x8 no-name, 6-spoke aluminum wheels w/4" backspacing. Ebay... No clearance issues - 4"bs seems to be perfect.
I know I'm leaving stuff out, but for now that's all I can think of...

I thought that was kinda the point of the FAQ. Submitting stuff to Erik for that might be a better use of space. I'd try to format it as cleanly as what's there so as not to create extra work for him....even though he gets the big bucks to moderate this.

Well, that's what I was thinking too... Only some of the other forums have other options up.
My thinking was this: FAQ is more for facts & tech, while this could be more for user's rides / opinions on what they've done. Feelin' me?
ps - Where's Erik been? He doesn't seem to be on much anymore...

ahh, no. yer gonna have to find someone else to do that. ... Nothing against it, but...(always one or more isn't there)... I do like the way this (and other) faqs are categorized, makes for easy reference when you open them up. The only drawback to your idea in that regard, which is minor, is that you end up rifling through to answer...ok...what rims worked how...over posts from all the users. You also get into the evolution of rides where what's bolted on there now isn't there in six months for favor of another brand or method. Seems like it'll be cumbersome to keep up as a current sticky. You asked what we think

That said, I'll play.
1996 T100 5 speed
SFA with a Dana 44 from a Chevy p/u mounted with the ever popular Rancho 44044 springs. It really takes dual cases or a high pinion axle to achieve and ideal front driveline angle.
Crossover style steering with Rockstomper Rock Rods.
Mix of Trailmaster and Skyjacker shocks (what was on the shelf).
ARB air lockers. Run lines away from heat. Brake lines can get hot enough to rupture the ARB blue lines. Run off ARB compressor for now.
Safari Snorkel - the Tacoma model fits the T100 easily, necessary to lengthen the supplied linkage to airbox.
Alaska Fabshop winch bumper, one-off, replaced a Warn Trans4mer, which though stout, serves better as a shovel on a steep approach. Contains Warn xd9000i.
36x12.5x15 TSLs Better off road traction but less life than SSRs. SSRs have a slight edge on hard, slick surfaces (snow, ice) due to siping of the center treads. 35x12.5x15 Cooper Discover STs, studded for the darkest, slickest part of winter. Good, affordable AT.
15x10 Champion Beadlocks ~3.75-3.5 backspacing~ for the TSLs. Great fun to balance. 15x8 Rockcrawlers ~3.75 BS~ for the Coopers. Basic wheel.

sorry I haven't been on much lately...
If you want to start a new thread I'll sticky it for you and we'll see how it goes. Post up some rules for it like only one post per person (discussion/questions about a rig can be started in new threads), if you make changes, go in and edit your original post instead of posting again, anything else helpful to keep the thread going where you want it to, etc. Something you guys can maintain yourselves would be good.
