for this, the planetisuzu.com article linked to above ought to do you just fine.

i don't think that russian site is still up; besides a couple of issues no one seems to address, at least outloud -- its stealing, and who knows what you'd get put on your computer for your 'trouble',

if you're looking to do more work on your isuzu down the line, there's chilton's and haynes manuals at auto parts stores and then there is the best and the most expensive

here's the link to the factory manual$ from helminc.

good luck
let us know how it went, will you?

1992 sohc trooper 3.2l v6 automatic . . . as is

i love a good intermittent electrical challenge. . .especially when it's someone else's.

Just an update - rotor replacement delayed. Parts store received wrong rotors.

Not sure if the part # called for doesn't work for my vehicle or if wrong part was ordered. Have to wait for a duplicate shippment to compare.

With all of their superiority, the modern parts computer systems lack one big thing versus the old parts books - pictures!

Will keep ya posted......

The bearing repack article is of no help. I have a '95 Rodeo that this would work, but on my '02 model, the hubs aren't on the end of the axle shaft. It looks nothing like the pics in the article. Mine has an axle nut at the end - that's all - similar to a 2 wd vehicle.

The new rotors that I bought are the type that are held in place by the rim and lug nuts. You know the type - they have a large diameter hole to fit over the hubs and just sit there. The rim w/lug nuts then hold it in place. The ones on the truck look identical, but I've beat them to death with a 3 lb hammer and they won't budge.

The only other way that I can determine in which they would come off is to remove the axle nut and pull the whole assembly; however, I don't want do it if it isn't necessary. Anyone got a clue as to how these come off????

Thanks for the help,
Jim

Body Damage is Cool
PUll the front caliper and the caliper mounting bracket off and hang the caliper with a piece of wire , don,t let it hang on the brake hose , and smack the back side of the rotor with a brass hammer and rotate around a bit and hit it again, it is most likely just rusted on at the center hub, these are basically floating rotors , when you put the new ones on be sure and use antisieze around the perimiter of the center hole and they won,t stick so tight next time , just smack it back and forth if your going to install new ones doesn,t matter if you bang it up , if your are going to reuse it, brass won,t tear it up as bad Jerry

Sorry for not replying sooner.

Thanks for the advice, the front rotor job went very smooth. I recently replaced the rear rotors (the reason I remembered this thread) and the suggestions helped me do that job much faster too. Thanks again to all for your input. Great site, good people!
