Getting the Wheeling Fever

My factory in dash 6-CD Player in my '99 SR5 shows an Error message "Err 3" - essentially telling me to eject the CDs - but I get no response from ANY button. Short of ripping out the player (and smashing it to bits ), does anyone know how to manually eject CDs from this type player?

I know there is some sort of diagnostics mode, and I know I have used it before, but I kinda forgot... heh...
I *think* it goes something like this:
With the key in the ACC position and the stereo off, hold down the 1 and 6 buttons and press the CD button 6 times. I seem to recall this will drop you into a diagnostics/self check menu. There was some info about it online somewhere, but for the life of me I can't find it now.
If all else fails, disconnect the battery for a while and hope that resets something.
Good luck

sorry for not replying sooner. the diagnostic mode procedure below didn't work, but the battery solution did! All cds popped out after disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes. Thanks for the tip - this tides me over until I upgrade the stereo.
