Okay i have an 1980 toyota with a 3.8 buick out of a 83 reagel. My ext. fuel pump went out and i need a new one. I got a 4-7 psi universel one but that is only working like *****. I need an idea of what model of fuel pump to get... i have 3/8 tubing all the way to the carb and it is a 4B quadjet with a holly manifold. What ext. pump would be about perfect for this set up? Some has to ahve the same 3.8 swap and running a fuel pump that works. And i tried to find a number on the old one or markigs but it was so rusted i had nothing. I think i read maybe a old supra one will work? any info would be great thanks RED

That 4-7psi should be plenty for a stock 3.8 w/carb. I ran a 7psi 100 GPH Carter on my old jeep(304, 4brl, headers, cam) w/ no problems. How does it behave when it idles or accelerates?
