I just picked up a carter electric fuel pump to swap out for my mechanical pump but am wondering what the best way to wire the fuel pump shut off is? should I get a oil pressure safty switch or wire in a toggle switch of sorts?
thanks in advance <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

As safe as possible given the consequences of a ruptured gas line and it not shutting down after a crash...

Suggest based on technicques used by manufacturers the following..

Use the oil pressure switch to keep it running under normal mode..

and to cover the situation when starting the engine but no oil pressure yet, use the start position of your ignition switch as an override to make it run while starting..
