Just picked up a 99, sweet 4x4 xcab. Didnt notice when I ran the truck through the wringer of purchase a problem. Got it home, checked all fluids and found the drivers side tires were both 6 psi above spec (pass side fine). Went and paid coin to fill it up and now it leans to the drivers side, wtf?? Did some reading and found this is 'normal' Has anyone corrected this w/new leafs, etc? It has a tow pkg. Was the last owner too large?

Thanks guys

You should be able to change the front coilovers, rear springs and shocks to fix the problem. If that doesn't fix the problem, it might have a bent frame.

Alot of times i've seen trucks going down the road leaning to one side. When they hit a bump you could tell the needed a new suspension system.

Take it to your local toyota dealership and check with them. If it is a problem with your suspension, you could lift it like you want to.

I have a 2000 reg. cab, bought it new in 2000 when I got it home I noticed the rear drivers side was lower than the right side by about a 0.25" - 0.5" called the dealer and they said that was within tolerance, I then called a couple other dealers and got the same answer, to me its a bucnh of crap. Standing behind the truck and looking at the tailgate it is as plain as day, put a level on your tailgate when its closed and then put the level on the ground to make sure its somewhat of a level surface the truck is sitting on. Every 2000 tacoma I've seen has the same issue.

Aftr a ton meas/comparing sides looks like rear shocks. Esp thr drivers side, might be blown. So I just ordered up a pair. Will let you all know the results once I install them

This is a very serious, urgent problem. I suggest you cut out the IFS immediately and replace with a solid axle, then lift the rear to match, and put on safer tires (such as Goodyear MT/R 35x12.50/15s). The life you save could be your own.

Hence, the calling upon safety issues. Work the angles...

Actually, it never worked on my wife either. But she figures if the truck helps me through my midlife crisis it will be better than what other men tried...

The driver, gas tank and battery are all on the d'side. A 5MM trim packer is the easy fix...

They are available from:
