Getting the Wheeling Fever
The BGB FSM says to unbolt the axle from the diff, remove the hub flange, and pull the axle out from the inside. Has this actually worked for anyone? I was about to get a tourch and start cutting!

Any tips or secrets?

Here is one way to do it:

Or pull the lower ball joint to swing the spindle away a little to get some room.

Yep, unbolt the ball joints and you will have all of the room you need. This is the only way I do it anymore on oem set-up rigs. To make it easier in the future, replace the studs with bolts.

More than tread lightly. Leave it like you were never there, nor anyone else.

I prefer to remove the upper balljoint so the whole thing swings down. But I haven't done that since replacing the inner axle studs with bolts - saves some headache!
