My rear power window started working in only one direction. These units are pretty much self contained but I took it out just in case it was binding or something. The unit will go down all day long but not up.

On a whim I reversed the wires powering the motor and sure enough it would now go up when I pushed the down button.

Is this a sign that the motor is shot or a bad connection somewhere? Sorry if the answer is obvious, absolutely no electrical experience.

Roll Me Over
My guess is that the contacts on the switch have gotten dirty and/or corroded. Get some aerosol electrical contact cleaner and spray into the switch, a lot.
