W56 from T100 exactly the same as W56 in Tacoma and Hilux Pickup? #632705 08/03/05 03:32 AM

I have a 95 T100 2.7L 4Cyl 2wd. There is a seal at the tailshaft on the transmission where theh driveshaft goes into. Mine is leaking and I went to replace it, and the seat that the seal presses into was all scratched up (i think from the seal puller when I pulled the old seal out). I replaced the seal but it still leaks. So, I guess I'm going to have to call around and find a used W56. So my question is, is the W56 from the T100 exactly the same as the W56 used in the Tacoma and Hilux Pickup? If I got a W56 from a Tacoma or Hilux, would it just bolt right in?

short answer is no! input shafts are different on the older mini trucks and rear of tranny is different on tacomas, because of the different t-cases.

cheers
