Does any one know anything about swaping a 4.0 head onto a 4.2 and if so can you use the 4.2 intake manifold because i have just installed a brand new howel fuel injection and wanted to keep that. any help would be nice.

Yep! You sure can. The new head needs a little work before installing it. The coolant passages are larger than the old head and need a little JB WELD added before installing. GOOGLE it and get all the bonafides.. Big Jim <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

Here's a place that has proved to be a wealth of knowledge for me. It's another forum but it's loaded with tech stuff. Guys often post stuff from factory service manuals there. the link is http://www.cjoffroad.com/forums/search.asptype in 4.0 head swap and read EVERY post that comes up. Even if it doesn't look like it will be worth it, there just might be that one thing your lookin' for...
