I suspect a door lock switch or wiring connection has gone bad.

Sorry I can't help beyond that.

A piece of alegorical advice... when I had this problem in my 1990 w/ an aftermarket system (Clifford) I took it back to the place that installed it. It came with a lifetime warranty on the installation which I've used taken advantage of numerous times. What goes bad is usually a connection/connector and rarely an electronic component. The warranty also covers the pin switches and other wear items so to this day it continues to work without fail. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

First time i've seen you on here. Glad to see another 99. I havent had any problems with my alarm. I'm actually still using the orginal battery and key pad it came with, a little beat up and worn down, but still working. I have another one as back up, but havent used it yet, still brand new!

But like offroader said, should be something worn out or wires touching somewhere. Have you had any speakers or anything else wired to your truck recently. If so, maybe the installers did something.

Btw, where are you from and what have you done to your Monty. You can post it up on your signature.

Trail Leader
On my 95 (no remote), if it is locked, and I unlock it, it will relock immediately. My problem is in the DS door. What I have to do is turn the key while pulling the handle. What I suspect is going on is that the actuator is fouled is some way that keeps it from coming all the way up. This then has the effect of "pushing down" on the lock and therefore locking all the other doors. It's like when you are inside and lock it, and all the locks go down.

I expect that when I get around to removing the panel and cleaning things up in there, it will resolve itself.
