Previous Thread Next Thread Print Thread Rate Thread 97 TJ A/c inop; possible to turn into compressor or ditch? #637833 08/17/05 07:43 PM Anonymous Unregistered well my A/C clutch never kicks in when i try n use it, oh well- no complaints going topless. on the other hand my drivebelt is really close to snappin - now im wondering if its possible to take out the air conditioning and turn it into an air compressor for my tires. or nt worth it? take it out and slap a smaller belt on? i do love takin things apart n so on, so if it were possible what kinda mods would be required. thanks! Go down and buy a recharge kit ( make sure it has a guage ) or take it down and have it recharged.
