I have a 97 SR5 and the blower is not strong enough for the 105 degree days around here. I had the Freon checked to see if I could get any colder air, but it was just a waste of money. If there is a fix for the fan, that would be great, but I'm pretty sure the blower is just too weak on our T-100's

the t100's a/c isn't great because the blower motor is like a hamster wheel. i'm thinking about trying to make some cardboard fins and supergluing them on the inside of the wheel to see if that helps any, just haven't gotten around to it yet

Didnt somebody post a way to clean the blower to help it spin faster? I seem to recall that a while back. I only operate it on high.

yes the blower motor is behind and on the right side of the glove box, held on by 3 8mm screws. i took mine out of my truck and it was clean, but someone did have a post recently about cleaning it. I took mine out to see if there were any leaves or anything in there but it was clean. which suprized me since the t100 doesn't have a cabin air filter.

I cleaned mine a few months ago after hearing the previous post, but it didnt help at all, i wonder if it could be retrofitted with a different hamster wheel????

I opened mine up to find a chipmunk nest or something in there. Lots of moss. It was ugly.
At least it was very simple to remove and work on.
I cleaned things up, washed the fan good, put a little lube on it, and it works fine.

Blower resistor might be on its way out; $16 part or so. It lives behind the blower motor. This is a common anomaly in the older trucks.
