Getting the Wheeling Fever
All,
On the way home last night these gauges went out:
1.volt
2.oil psi
3.temp
4.tach
Also, lost turn signals (high beam/flash to pass WORK), hazards work. Dash lights work. Parking/headlights work. Brake lights work. Cigarette lighter works.
Speedo works (mechanical) and gas guage works.
None of the dash warning lights come on when the key is in the "on" position (ie. parking brake/check engine )
I don't like doing electrical stuff other than +/- on the battery.
Any suggestions? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />

Thanks all!

replace your fuses. check your main dash fuse under the hood, and also your fuses under your wheel. sounds like some water could have gotten to em of maybe some rust. either way as long as it's still running it sounds like fuses. maybe some corrosion but hope for fuses.

Did a visual inspection of the fuses. Pulled them out and reinstalled. None are bad. I have the factory manual and started going thru it. Looks like i have a few seperate issues going on....

Check the 2 ground wires under the dash for the gauges. There is one for the tach/voltmeter, and one for the oil pressure and temp. Without any proper grounding, you will have no dash lights, no idiot lights, and no electronic gauges. Everything is grounded on different circuits, i.e. your dash lights work, but nothing else in there does. Your dash lights are grounded, but the others are not.

When did this start? Did you do any work recently? Install a stereo? Submerge on a stream crossing?

This is unusual, as something usually causes it, not just *poof* they're out.
