Getting the Wheeling Fever
I have been reading this forum for a few months but haven't posted much, I searched and didn't find this answer so if it is a repeat, sorry. I am looking at a 91 p/u with a 3.0. I already know that it needs a head job, has at least one burnt valve. I am not really familiar with the 3.0, I've owned 22re's and 3.4's, but never a 3.0. I haven't actually seen the truck, but the guy says it has oil in the intake tube. What would be the cause of this? Does it have a vent tube or something simple, or does this indicate something worse like bad rings? Engnbldr, if I buy this truck and it just needs the head job I am going to need a gasket and bolt kit. Is it easiest if I just use ebay, or call?

1997 T100 extracab, 3.4L, 5-speed, 169K, 4x4. Love the truck, never buy anything but toyota, I tried it once, most miserable six months of my life.

Body Damage is Cool
There is a vent from the driver side valve cover to the intake tube. Probobly put too much oil in it an blew some into the intake. I disconnected mine when I put the K&N intake in, just put a small cone filter in the end of the valve cover breather.
