The franken jeep is coming together nicely just a quick question about putting the hydraulic clutch system together. I am using a 258 with a NP435 tranny, and I have the complete MS and SS setup from an 82 4 cylinder. The pushrod appears to be too short. For those who know or those who have done it, what vehicle do I have to rob to get the right size clutch rod?

Thanks ya'll

Some good info on how to make the necessary pedal modifications - http://www.monsterslayer.com/jeep/HydClutch/HydroClutch.htm

All of this is for CJ pedals. I can't remember if the frankenjeep is CJ or YJ. The pedals may be the same on either anyhow.

Thanks for the link. I've read it before but it didn't help. I'll scrounge around the junkyard for a longer pushrod.

Winston Measure zackly what you need and saw yours in half and ADD what you need.. It should not be too hard to EXTEND the length of a simple rod.
