Not I, sez Nodelk. The question is are they actually going to contact people who bought their trucks used or only the original owner / purchaser?

I called Toyota a couple of weeks ago, they confirmed my vehicle is affected but I have not received a notice yet...

I haven't received any notice from Toyota, but I'm not the original owner. However, I called my local Toyota dealership and they said they would take care of it whenever I wanted to bring it in.

I registered my VIN and new address on the 'My Toyota' website 2 weeks ago; got a spam e-mail but no recall yet. These things take time, if you do not hear by end of October then call.

OEM and dealers do not want all of us storming the shop at once, remember that this affected almost 8 MILLION trucks in total, takes a while to get all those repair parts into the inventory and distribution pipeline.

While you wait just remember to keep your steering wheel from bottoming out at low/no speed.

I bought an updated relay rod in the spring of 2004 and installed it. I checked the number for the relay rod now used in the fix and it is different from the one I have so I think I'll be getting a new one. Each dealer has a lot of relay rods for the Tacomas and 4runners and only a few for the T100. I haven't been notified yet either.

i replaced my relay rod in early 2005. it would suck if i still needed to do this job again.

so is it possible that toyota had 3 generations of the same part?

could you post the part numbers for both your original rod, 2004 rod, and recall relay rods?

thanks.

do you have a link for the "My Toyota" website? I did a google search and went to toyota.com but I couldn't find it.

i just bought a 97 this past weekend. after driving it a 1000 miles back home from PA. i noticed the right rear was leaking. toyota dealer is fixing all the suspension problemsand the tech told me about the "campaign", or recall notice and is going to do that at same time. i didnt have to bring it to thier attention, they brought it to mine.
