Master,
New Actron CP7677 watchamacallit. Instructions, Hayne's, Chilton's, all tell me to hook to negative coil wire... How do I do this without cutting wire. I see no obvious way to do this at the connector..?

You should be able to use a safety pin to "backprobe" the connector. Should be the BLUE wire in the connector, and it's the one on the TOP.

HOWEVER: On the left fender skirt, there are two connectors coming from the engine, on a bracket, just behind the battery. If you look there, you should find a BLUE WIRE with a single "bullet" type push on connector. This is the TACH signal test connector. Put your meter probe in that connector and you should be in business.

I know old thread.
Im installing a sunpro tach in my 89 amigo and cant figure out how to hook it to the coil.
There are 2 wires in aharness going to the coil and I know 1 of them is for me .
Do I hoklk into the blue wire for my tach?
